Timelessness is the theme of this building. For that reason, natural materials were hand-picked for this project. The lobby has ash paneled walls that feature green patinaed borders. This paneling is combined with cement plaster, a fresh juxtaposition of old and new that creates movement within the narrow space. The green patina is carried onto the elevators, this color is also evocative of industrial Brooklyn. Optimizing space and encouraging flow and movement was key, so curves were choses in lieu of straight corners. A combination of Peruvian travertine and white hexagonal tiles were chosen for the bathroom floors, once again the mix of classic and contemporary. Large-scale mirrors open up the space. Kitchens are finished with the same ash wood used in the lobby, to unify the feeling of the entire building. The entire building is a dynamic mix of industrial chic.
