This residential project was inspired by the "Old City" of Cartagena, Colombia. The interiors of this colonial house were transformed to optimize every nook of the home. We turned to Cartagena for inspiration and filled each space of the home with Caribbean colors. The furniture throughout the space is almost entirely custom. The standout pieces are extra-large cushions for lounging at the pool and canopy daybeds, which were put in a previously unused common area of the second floor. The purpose of these pieces is to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. Each area of the house is highlighted with its own color story inspired by the city: neutral tones, coral, yellow, turquoise. Drawing inspiration from the Caribbean city, we focused on using materials that would fare well in the tropical climate. The fabrications include outdoor fabric, teak, wicker, and glass
